Ahead of Thursday’s kick off of the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt, three-time champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria will depart Ismailia this afternoon for Alexandria ahead of their Saturday’s match against Burundi, Bestchoicesport.com.ng report.
Super Eagles contingent spent a week in Ismailia for their final preparation and played their last warm up match on Sunday against rivals, Senegal
Senegal defeated Nigeria in the match played behind closed doors ostensibly to help the two teams to perfect their finishing touches as the biennial event kicks off in 72 hours.
Reporting the departure, the NFF said on its twitter handle, “After a week of intensive training and hard work ahead of the #TotalAFCON2019, we will be leaving Ismailia this afternoon for Alexandria where we will play all our Group B games.
Thank you Ismailia.

Super Eagles, it could be recalled, have played two matches in preparation for the tournament but won none.
They first played Zimbabwe in Asaba which ended goalless before they lost to Terenga Lions of Senegal yesterday in Egypt.
