Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez helps Algeria to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations after a 2-2 draw with Zimbabwe in Harare Monday.

Andy Delort had put the defending champions up front in the 34 minutes after he beat Talbert Shumba with a shocking ball.

However, Mahrez scored Algeria’s second goal after he was set up by the Montpellier striker as the former Leicester City star superbly doubled the bet with a cross-shot with the right foot.

But in their enclosure, the Warriors have made it a point of honour to return with Knowledge Musona and Prince Dube ensure both sides share a point.

Algeria has now joined Cameroon and Senegal in qualifying for next year’s tournament after gaining 10 points ahead of Zimbabwe with five.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations will hold in Cameroon in January 2022
