Another Nigerian Club Involved In Road Accident, Players Injured

Few days after a Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL club side, Akwa United had a near death road crash in Enugu on their way to Kaduna, another Nigerian club side, Ekiti United have been involved in another ghastly accident.
The accident which happened on Tuesday however had no casualties but players sustained various degrees of injuries.
The Nigeria National League, NNL side bus was involved in a lone accident, per report.
The accident occurred while the players were returning to Ado from Ikere after their training session.
There were however no casually as all occupants of the vehicle came out safe
Although the cause of the accident was not ascertained, it was gathered that the vehicle had been in a bad shape lately as it broke down in Ibadan after the NNL match against Vandrezzer fc in Lagos .
It took at least five hours for mechanics to fix it thereby leading to late arrival of the team in Ado on Thursday night.
The team however had no choice than to embark on another journey to Ilorin on Friday to play another match before returning home on Sunday.
Ekiti United also confirmed the road mishap on their official Twitter handle and blamed the accident on a “slippery road”
“Ekitit United Vehicle in lone accident.
“Ekiti Utd team bus was on Tuesday (March 16) involved in a lone accident while the team was returning to Ado from Ikere after training,” the club said.
“There were varying degrees of injury but no life was lost.
“Slippery road caused by rain could have caused it”
It could be recalled that Akwa United was on Friday involved in accident in Enugu on their way to honour their Matchday 15 clash with Jigawa Golden Stars. A player and two officials sustained injuries.
