Aruna Quadri Rises In Latest ITTF Ranking, Now 11th In The World

Africa’s best tennis player, Aruna Quadri has risen in the latest International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF ranking released on Saturday.

In the release for January by the ITTF, African players were among the biggest movers in the latest ITTF rankings

With Quadri Aruna hitting new heights at 11th and Omar Assar moved five places up to occupy 25th.

Yousra Helmy gained eight places up to be rated 81st in the world ranking.

Olajide Omotayo also made huge move as he rose 13 places to place 86th in the world just as Bode Abiodun leaped 16 places from 141 to be ranked 125 in the world

Segun Toriola was not so lucky as he lost 13 places to place 172 in the globe

Tobi Falana completes Nigeria’s five top ranked players at 448 position

In the female rankings, Edem Offiong, another Nigerian star player hit top 100 after gaining nine steps up the ranking as the third best female player in Africa.

Another Nigerian, Olufunke Oshonaike moved down three places to be ranked 177 in the world.

Ajoke Ojomu moved down five places to now rank 217 in the world but Cecilia Akpan moved up 13 places to now rank 295 in the globe
