Former Vice President of thw Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar is among prominent Nigerians, including politicians, ex footballers and musicians who are celebrating Arsenal FC of England after the lifted their 14tj FA Cup on Saturday, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Atiku, 2019 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate joined other Arsenal fans to celebrate with the club after they came back from a goal down to defeat arch rivals, Chelsea in the FA Cup final played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the 6th minute but Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang scored a penalty in the first half and another in the second half to turn the tide in the Gunners favour.

Reacting to the feat, Atiku Abubakar who is a committed Arsenal fan for ages went in his Twitter to celebrate Arsenal for the record they attained.

“Arsenal! 🏅#FACupFinal,” he tweeted.

On his part, former Super Eagles coach and captain, Sunday Oliseh congratulated Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta for turning around had been described as a bad season for the Gunners.

He also commend the new coach for ensuring that the club returned to continental football next season.

“Congrats & Respect to Arsenal & coach, Arteta. What seemed a season to forget just days ago, ends a huge success for Arsenal: FA Cup winners, Europa Liga qualification, beat Liverpool and Holders Man. City.. extremely pleased 4 (for) Arteta, who wins the FA as player & coach for Arsenal,” he tweeted.

On his part, Nigerian misic icon, Peter Okoye of defunct PSquare, congratulated Arsenal after he tweeted
“Congratulations Arsenal!”

With the feat achieved, Arsenal have remained the most successful FA Cup club with 14 victories followed by Manchester United with 12 triumphs while Saturday’s runner up, Chelsea and Tottenham share equally number of 8 victories.

Mikel Arteta is the first person to win the FA Cup with Arsenal as both a captain and a manager. He is also the first Arsenal manager to win a major trophy in their first season in charge of the club since George Graham in 1986-87.

Arsenal have won the FA Cup for the 14th time; the most of any team. They are also the first side to beat the same opponent on three separate occasions in an FA Cup final.
