Ben Quickpen and Maide Ateh continued their impressive forms in the ongoing Bayelsa State scrabble retreat as the duo emerged champions in their respective categories in week thirteen of the second edition decided at the indoor hall of Samson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa.

Maide Ateh maintains his dominance top spot for the third consecutive week; amassing cumulative points of +500, winning eight rounds out of ten in Category B. While Ben Quickpen also reaffirms his place for second time in a row; winning nine of out twelve in category A.

Precious Igali and Ezekiel Enieke who finished second and third last week in category A, continued were they stopped by getting eight wins better of their opponents . While Timi Woko settled for 4th place and dropped one place, winning six

However, for first the time in the retreat, Benjamin Kelvin came second in category B, with cumulative point of +301, he finished 13th last week. While Piriye Pipa got six wins but was separated by points to occupied the 3rd and 4th positions.

Week ten winner Aniso Joseph could only manage 5th place, despite winning six rounds with +209, Ohaka Bright, Vincent Munayo and Doubra Enai all occupied 6th to 8th positions in their respective categories.

Despite the disappointing outing last week, Dorcas Innocent moved up six places to occupied 5th. Also Douglas Borogha, Sony Agazi and Ebisco Sigah sealed 6th to 8th in category B.

Surprisingly, Head Coach of Bayelsa State Scrabble Association, could not repeat last performance as he dropped to 9th on the log with just four wins and a -114 total accumulated points same number of win with Tareyei Alari but differ in points acquired on 10th.

But the first time in the retreat; the 9th to 10th place were unchanged as in category B as Akpos Malafakumo and Juliana Imbiakpa battle to finish top ten.

The ongoing retreat would continue this weekend at the indoor hall of Samson Siasia stadium.
