After two months of no football in the major leagues across the world occasioned by the ravaging coronavirus pandemic, the Bundesliga has confirmed that games will return on May 9, pending government approval, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can confirm.

Games across the German top division have been postponed since March 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But now league authorities have revealed that matches will continue from May 9 but that they must get an agreement from the government first.

DFL CEO Christian Seifert said in a press conference: “Bundesliga would be ready to start playing on the 9th of May. BUT the DFL does not take the decision. They are completely trusting the government to decide when it is possible.”
