Dr Ibrahim Abdul has been elected the North-Central representative in the board of the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation, NWF.

Dr Abdul in the zonal election held in Jos, Plateau State on Wednesday, was elected by the delegates of the seven states from the geopolitical zone – Benue, Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, Plateau and the FCT.

Young, ebullient, dynamic progressive sports administrator, Dr Abdul was elected unopposed during the election.

The zonal election is the prelude to the September 30th sports federations election in the country.

The elected representatives will on Thursday converge in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory to elect the Presidents and Vice of their federations

Weightlifting Federation of Nigeria, NWF is one of the federations that will conduct their elections in Abuja next week.
