Two Nigeria clubs in the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers and Plateau United will once again face another North Africa clubs in the playoff round of the continent’s second tier league.

Both clubs have been paired to face two Lybian sides in the fixture released Tuesday

Reigning Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions, Rivers United will face El Nasr Benghazi of Lybia while Plateau United will battle Al Akhdar of same Lybia.

It could be recalled that both clubs were demoted from from the CAF Champions League after they lost 7-2 and 2-2 on aggravate against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and Esperance of Tunisia respectively in the preliminary rounds.

Rivers United and Plateau United are among the 16 losing clubs from the Champions League who joined the winning 16 teams in the Confederation Cup.
