European club, NK Istra of Croatia has signed Mutari Momoh from Mavlon FC of Lagos on a five – year deal.

Momoh, a smooth tackling central defender has been described as Nigeria’a Van Dijk due to his similiar style of play with the Dutch defender and Liverpool captain.

At 18 years, Momoh is a defender, who plays with great inteligence, very fast, strong aerially and very difficult to displace by attacker, a stumbling block in thwarting the attacking play of opponents with ease and grit.

Prior to him signing for NK Istra of Croatia, other notable European clubs like Udinese of Italy, Almeria of Spain to mention but a few, sought for his signature.

Interestingly, he never featured for any age- grade national teams of Nigeria before signing for an European club.
