Dennerby Denies Indian U-17 Coching Job Link
Former Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has denied reports linking him with the Indian national U-17 team.
The Indian federation announced vacancy and Dennerby’s name popped up in the news on Sunday.
Reacting to the Indian links, Dennerby referred to reports as mere speculations.
“It is fake news and click bait! There’s been no approach from any country,” Dennerby told Goal.
“I believe they are quite aware of my situation with Nigeria but I want to clarify that I did not receive any proposal from India or any other country whatsoever, as they are saying.
“I am still under contract with Nigeria and currently focused on sorting out my future before thinking about what is next for me.”
Dennerby reportedly called it quit his role as Super Falcons coach over lack of support from the Nigeria Football Federation.
While he is away, acting coach, Christopher Danjuma, replaced the team’s head, naming Barcelona forward, Asisat Oshoala, as captain in place of Desire Oparanozie.
