Dr Ibrahim Abdul Emerges Weightlifting Federation President

A new chapter in Nigeria Weightlifting Federation, NWF board has opened as the board on Thursday, September 30 elected young and dynamic Dr Ibrahim Abdul as its president, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The former Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the NWF emerged president after he was elected by 11 out of 13 board members who turned up for the election in Abuja.
Dr Abdul who was the FCT Weightlifting Association Chairman was last week elected as the North-Central Zonal representative in board in Jos, Plateau State.
The Vice President of Nigeria Teqball Federation, NIGTEQ expressed joy and gratitude to the board and stakeholders of the weightlifting family for their trust and promised to give the weightlifting in the country a facelift.
“I am overwhelmed and honoured today. It was never an easy process but the board and weightlifting family have reposed a huge responsibility upon my shoulder and I am grateful.
“It is a new dawn for weightlifting sport in the country because I will work with the board to give the sport a facelift in the country,” a visibly elated Dr Abadul said after the result was announced.
Mr Emeka Nwankwo was elected as the Vice President unopposed.
