Dream Stars FC Ladies Get New Identity As A Global Brand

The Management of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL side, Dream Stars FC Ladies has embarked on reform and rebranding of the club to give it a new identity and pursue global branding, Bestchoicesports.com.ng reports.
One of the key components of the new look Dream Stars FC Ladies is the change of name and adoption of new crest.
The management following a unanimous resolution agreed to change the club’s name from Dream Stars FC Ladies to DreamStar FC Ladies
President of the club, AbdulRahmon Abolore who launched the new name and crest in Lagos Monday, told journalists that the club is undergoing reformation, hence the need for a new identity.
He noted that the new name and crest will come into use in the 2020/2021 NWFL season.
“Dream Stars Ladies will henceforth be known and called DreamStar FC Ladies while the club’s nickname changes to The Galacticas”, the president said.
The Management also unveiled the club’s new crest which will appear on the club’s shirt from the start of next NWFL Premiership Season.
“We are working tirelessly to take DreamStar FC Ladies beyond a national brand, and this has necessitated the refinement in the identity and image.
“DreamStar’ as one word is a resplendent of how combined generic nouns are developed into household and globally recognized name
“In our quest to become a brand that is synonymous with special qualities and acceptable to the Corporate World, we hereby announce the launch of DreamStar FC Ladies of Lagos The Galacticas,” he concluded.
The 2019/2020 NWFL league has been hit with the COVID-19 as initial plans to get the season started was taken over by the pandemic.
With increasing doubt over whether or not the league has been cancelled, with football stakeholders waiting impatiently on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to make pronouncement on the Nigeria domestic football leagues, DreamStar FC Ladies, have started putting modalities in motion ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
