Emeka Richard Gives Assist As Liepaja Defeat FK Jelgava In Latvia League

Nigeria teenage sensation, Emeka Richard gave an Assist as his club Liepaja defeated FK Jelgava 1-0 at home in the Latvia League over the weekend.
The 19-year old who played all 90 minutes of the match gave the assist in the 42nd minute of the encounter. Richard who was overlooked by the Flying Eagles technical crew for the Poland 2019 U-20 World Cup has been in superb form for his club.
He has played all 12 league matches and have scored 9 goals with 7 assists making him a contender for the golden boot award in the Latvia League.
Liepaja currently occupy 10th in the twelve-teague Latvia elite league with 12 points from 12 matches.
Richard has been excellent in the league which has lead to European clubs seeking for his services.
He told reporter from his base that offers are coming but his priority is to ensure that Liepaja gets out of the drop zone and move up the ladder.
“The clubs are coming but I am focused here. I would not want to disclose their names because nothing concrete has been discussed but I am aware that three clubs from Europe have made enquiries.
“I want to continue my career development which is very important now,” he said.
