Former Super Eagles player, Friday Ekpo has advised the LMC against trying to resume the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL any other strata of league football in the country citing the lack of capacity for Nigeria to do that at the moment in the wake of ravaging coronavirus pandemic in the country, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

Ekpo speaking with Brila said the current realities on ground shows that Nigeria is unable to take care of things as will be required to really make a return of league football possible.

He urged that Nigeria cannot be thinking of a return on the basis of the return of football in many part of Europe stating the huge gap in medical facilities and advised that planning should be towards the next season which will allow for more time.

“They should forget about coming back to play the league because we don’t have so much facilities that will make us not contact this virus and the medical system in my country Nigeria is not like the one in Europe.

Do you know how long it takes them for them to be together to have these games they are having behind closed doors? So I will say to the LMC and NFF we should put a stop to it and then plan for 2020/2021 season.”
