FC Hearts Emerge Champions Of 5Stars Premier League, Pocket N1.3 Million

FC Hearts over the weekend emerged champions of the 5th edition of the 5Stars Premier League, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

In the final played at the City Park, Wuse 2, FC Hearts defeated Trinity Boys FC 3-1 to win the coveted trophy.

Speaking after the final, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the 5Stars Football Consultancy Limited, Olumide Aturu, said that the league was organised to give the players ample opportunity to showcase their talents and also take their career to a greater height.

Mr Aturu who added that there were scouters at the final to identify possible talents who could be taken to Europe to further their career, said the organisers will sustain the league adding that they are looking at expanding the league beyond the Federal Capital Territory.

“We are providing a platform for the players to showcase their talents and from what we have seen here, we are proud of our efforts. We are committed to doing more, to sustaining the league and most importantly, our long term plan is to expand the league to every state of the country.

“We are honoured by the calibre of personalities that graced the final and we are grateful to them. We had Senator Ned Nwoko with his adorable wife with us, we had the FCT FA Chairma, Adam Muktar also present.

“We also had former England international, John Fashanu who was here all through the matches. We also had the National Youth Council of Nigeria President in our midst.

“The daughter of the Vice President of Nigeria, Kiki Osinbajo also honoured the match and a whole lot of dignitaries. Their presence alone is enough motivation for us.

“I am happy we have built a soccer platform in the FCT,” he said

The winner of the league, Heart FC pocketed the sum of one million, two hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and sixty naira (N1, 299, 960.00) only for their hard work.

The first runner-up, Trinity Boys FC went home with N558, 000. 00. while the 2nd runner-up, FA FC were N339, 840.00 richer.

Speaking during the final, the senator representing Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko commended the 5Stars Football Consultancy Limited for organising the league noting that he honoured the match because of his passion for sports generally.

Senator Nwoko who watched the final match along with his wife, Regina Daniel, noted that he will support the organisers to ensure that the futsal league is sustained.

On his part, former England international, John Fashanu said that the league is a yardstick for discovering future football talents in the FCT and called on corporate entities to support the organisers in order to sustain the league.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Senator representing Delta North, Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, the daughter of the Vice President of Nigeria, Kiki Osinbajo, Chairman, FCT Football Association, Adam Muktar, former international, John Fashanu.

Others are: President, National Youth Council Of Nigeria, Nigeria. President. Bello Bala Shagari as well as guest artiste, Adeleke David Adebayo (aka Be Read). Other partners are: the epresentative of Wife of Kwara State Governor and Mr Jammal (aka White Nigerian) also present was Red Cross and Redbull Drinks and music artist BRedHKN performed

The competition was powered by Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi.

The 5Stars Premier League was organised by the 5Stars Football Consultancy Limited in partnership with Amdo Collections, LostButFound Online to develop and encourage talented players to excel in their football career.
