The 2025 NOG Energy Week swung into action with a prestigious golf tournament at the scenic TYB International Golf Resort, setting a relaxed yet impactful tone for the week-long oil and gas gathering.
Nestled in the Federal Capital Territory, TYB’s lush fairways welcomed golf lovers, business leaders, and energy stakeholders from across Nigeria, combining sport with networking in an atmosphere of camaraderie and competition over the weekend.
Chairman of the FCT Golf Association, Mr. Akabom Enebong, who participated in the tournament and later presented some of the awards to winners, seized the moment to call on the NOG Energy Week organisers to make the golf tournament a permanent annual event in Abuja.
“I was privileged not only to participate in the tournament but also to be part of the awards presentation ceremony, which was a moment of celebration for skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie,” he told journalists.
“I expressed my sincere appreciation to the NOG organisers and DMD Events for including golf once again in the week’s calendar. I urged them to continue supporting the sport in Abuja by making the tournament a permanent fixture in the FCT. Golf is not just a game—it’s a tool for wellness, high-level networking, and community development that aligns perfectly with the spirit of NOG,” Enebong said.
Present at the tournament were the Vice Captain and Lady Captain of TYB Golf Club, who added grace and prestige to the event. Also playing a key role was Pro Oche, the long-standing tournament coordi nator and current Captain of the FCT Golf Team, whose leadership and experience ensured a smooth execution once again.
