UBA Partners Abia Warriors As Staff Wear Club Jersey To Work

Nigeria Professional Premier League, NPFL side, Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia scored another first weekend, when it became the first among all the Premiership clubs to have a commercial bank wearing its replica jerseys for their official duties.
It could be recalled that the club only within the same week became the first club to launch its players into a Retirement/Pension scheme. The club had introduced its players to the scheme that will see them saving compulsorily for their retirement period.
On Friday, one of the leading commercial banks in the country, United Bank For Africa (UBA) Umuahia Branch had its staff wearing Abia Warriors replica jerseys on its official duties within the city.
Confirming this in a chat, the Sporting Director of the Club Patrick Ngwaogu said the initiative is the brain child of the Club Chairman Pastor Emeka Inyama to among other things properly project the club to the outside world. He said it also go a long way to show the acceptability of the club in the community it operates. He confirmed that the relationship with the Bank has come a long way, and will surely blossom in the years ahead.
Abia Warriors since its entrance into the elite division of the Nigerian league, has become a force in the country’s domedtic football
