Nigerian legend and Two-time Africa Footballer of the Year, Kanu Nwankwo Thursday paid unscheduled visit to the minister of youth and sports in his office in Abuja, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report
Confirming the visit via his Twitter handle, sports minister, Sunday Dare said the 1995 EUFA Champions League winner dropped by in his office to lend support to the initiative to turn sports into business.
“Guess who came calling? Papilo – African Football Legend dropped by my office to lend support to the initiative to turn sports into business,” the minister said.
He further added that Kanu, popularly called Papilo, also discussed issues on sports merchandising as well as the way to move Nigeria football forward.
“He shared his plans for a sports merchandise line and way forward for Nigerian football. Papilo !!!”
Kanu Nwankwo was instrumental in Nigeria winning her first football Olympic gold medal at the Atlanta ’96 Games in USA.
