A Non-governmental football Organization African Football For All, over the weekend, honoured former Nigeria Football Federation, NFF presidential Aspirant Marcello Anyanwu in recognition of his contribution to football development in Africa.

The founder, African Football For All, Mr Alli Musa Mairogo said the “Development Merit Award” given to Mr Marcello was in recognition of his great contributions to the development of football in the continent stressing that such gestures are the ideals promoted my the organisation the award African football for all helps the less.

Africa Football For All is established to offer scholarships in education to the less privileged sports individuals in the continent in partnership with Association of Orphanage Homes in Africa to give the “best players scholarship to study and play football”. They also create pathways for kids in orphanage home to participate in football.

“Mr Marcello, a former Arsenal Football School coach and president of Kingdavid Footballing Pathways Limited has contributed immensely to football development in Africa and has been very supportive for our projects in Africa,” Mr Mairogo said during the award presentation in Abuja on November 4

Mr Anyanwu Marcello was represented by Daniel Okpara, the head of logistics, Kingdavid Footballing Pathways Limited.

In his acceptance speech, the Imo state born football administrator describe the award as an honour which he is specially proud of and appreciated the African Football For All for the outstanding recognition adding that the award will spur him to do more he has been doing.

“I wish to state that this award will further motivate me to offer my best to they services of African football and promote the overall economy of the continent.”

Anyanwu Marcello is the head scout of Gulf United Football Club Dubai the current league leaders of UAE 2nd division club.
