United Kingdom based Community Sport and Educational Development (CSED), a sport for change Non-Governmental Organisation, has donated over two hundred kilogrammes of cricket equipment to Edo Boys High School, in the Edo State capital, Benin-City, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

CSED Trustee, Cornelius Ehimiaghe, revealed that the donation is its contribution to the development of the sport in the Niger Delta, following the recent partnership with Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF).

The NCF recently granted CSED the approval to work with other relevant stakeholders in developing grassroots cricket.

“The donation to Edo Boys High School is informed by our desire to support the good work of other stakeholders (NCF and Uyi Akpata) in using cricket to inspire and empower students in Nigeria.

“CSED is excited with the quick response the NCF in granting the partnership request,” Ehimiaghe said.

With the donation more students will have the opportunity to play cricket as well as take part in some other sports played within the premises of Edo Boys High School.

CSED also intends to deliver three hundred generic books and reading materials to the school library before the beginning of the new school year in September 2019.

In the past four years, CSED has promoted grassroots sports development in the Niger Delta area.

Lord’s Taverners (a UK based charity) donated the equipment to CSED.
