The immediate past Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Barr Solomon Selcap Dalung Is currently on admission in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

In a post on his Facebook page, Dalung called for prayers as he was on admission

“Prayers please on admission in the hospital,” he posted.

The post, as at the time of this report, has received 237 comments/prayer.

The nature or cause of the admission is not yet known. But sources close to him told our correspondent that it is not a serious case

One of the sources who spoke with our correspondent said that the Plateau state born former Sports Minister needed rest and will be discharged soon.

Another source and a close associate said that “I spoke with him this morning and he told me he was on admission. However, from his voice, I do not think it is a serious issue.

“I did not ask him further questions but he told me he is under the weather. I think it is fever and he will be discharged soon.”

Calls put across to him on his cell phone by our correspondent to know the true situation were unanswered

Barr Dalung was at the Area 3 Play Ground, Garki Abuja on Monday where here officiated a novelty match in honour of late investigative journalist, Olajide Fashikun.

Dalung was minister of youth and sports development from November 2015 to May 2019
