Mavlon FC of Lagos has continued to be a reference point of a football academy that nurtures both football talent and educational development of young footballers, reports www.totorinews.com.

The educational development of young footballers remain one of the cardinal points of Mavlon FC as emphasized by Bar. Kenneth Agadugba, the chairman of the modest football outfit that has produced players for the age- grade national teams in Nigeria.

“We know the importance of education. It is a step in the right direction and we do everything we can to make sure that our young footballers are not just about football, but also to develop the brain for the task in managing every aspect of life, both as an active and in retirement,” Bar. Agadugba said.

“Many of the players here, are also on educational scholarship. It is not out of place to train footballers, who will not only become professional footballers in the future, but also combined the honours of being Technology brain- box in the world.

“Here, we explore the options of football and education, especially the players are also brilliant when it comes to education.

“The likes of Charles Agada and Cletus Simon, who both played for the Golden Eaglets were nurtured here on the two platforms of football and education.

“For every talent footballer out there, i will admonish them not to abandon education. If the opportunity is there, they should combine football with education.

“Mavlon FC is a place where football greatness and education meet. Great gain awaits our players in the future,” he concluded.
