Mighty Jets Appreciate Sports Minister For Honouring Former Player, Ali Jeje
Nigeria National League, NNL side, Mighty Jets FC of Jos Plateau State, have thanked the minister of youth and sports Mr Sunday Dare for reaching out the family of its late player, Ibrahim Ali Jeje, Bestchoicesports.com.ng reports.
The club in a release Thursday signed by its media officer, Mbum Ferdinand thanked the Minister for his wonderful gesture following his decision to give out food items and some money to the mother of Jeje.
The club further prayed for God’s wisdom as the minister continues with his good job and wonderful initiatives at the Federal Ministery of Youth and Sports and also thanked the Minister for the monthly stipend he promised Jeje ‘s mother.
The late Ali Jeje who was a Mighty Jets great was captain of the Nigeria national Under-20 team the Flying Eagles to the Africa Youth Championship title in 1983 and also Nigeria’s first participation in a FIFA Competition at the World Youth Championships in Mexico same year.
He also had a stint with Abiola Babes of Abeokuta and briefly played for the Green Eagles under Adegboye Onigbinde in late 1983.
