NFF Corruption: Head of Women Football, Ruth David, Appears Before ICPC TOday

The head of Nigeria Football Federation’s Women Unit, Ruth David will appear before the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC today to answer questions relating to her involvement in the endemic corruption perpetrated in the federation, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The anti-graft agency extended its ongoing corruption investigation in the country’s football to the women’s unit of the Nigeria Football Federation following evidences at the agency’s disposal.

The Punch Sports Extra exclusively gathered that the Head, Women’s Football Unit, NFF, Ruth David, would appear before the commission on Friday (today).

This is coming 24 hours after Punch reported that more facts had emerged from the ongoing investigation by the anti-graft agency.

A top source in the commission confided in Punch’s correspondent that “more officials apart from David are also under investigation.”
Though details of the allegation against David and other women officials were yet to be made known, it was gathered that “they are to be quizzed on their roles in some of the NFF transactions.”

David refused to comment on the matter when Punch correspondent called her on Thursday.


Sports Extra had exclusively reported that the ICPC was carrying out a wide -ranging investigation on the NFF officials

In the first phase of the investigation, 15 properties belonging to NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, NFF’s Head, Technical Committee, Ahmed Yusuf, NFF 2nd vice president, Shehu Dikko and NFF general secretary, Mohammed Sanusi , were seized by the anti-graft agency.
