Nigeria born combative defensive midfielder, Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Okereke has signed a two years deal with Finland Premiership side IFK Mariehamn.

The two-year contract papers were documented on Wednesday

Okereke’s agent is optimistic that the strong defensive midfielder who also plays as a center back will excel in his new club.

Okereke last played for Wilbrose Football Club in Port Harcourt and is expected to hit the group running.

Mariehhamn are 9th on the 12-club Finland Veikkausliiga League.

They lost 1-0 away to HJK on Friday and will play their next league match on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.
