North Central Zonal Elimination For 2020 NSF Holds In Kwara

Ahead of the 2020 National Sports Festival scheduled to hold in March this year, the North Central Zonal Elimination trial has been tentatively slated to hold in Kwara state.
It was gathered that the zone which comprises states such as Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Benue, Plateau, Kogi and FCT will hold the competition to determine the states that will represent the zone at the 2020 NSF in Edo.
The competition will feature 14 sports including team sporting events such as hockey, handball, volleyball, basketball, cricket, rugby, beach volleyball.
The elimination expected to start on 20 of January 2020 while winners of the various sporting events will represent the zone at the 20th NSF tagged “Edo 2020.”
No fewer than 8,500 athletes are expected to participate in the 20th edition of the National Sports Festival NSF.
The festival scheduled to hold from March 22 to April 1 would see the athletes competing for 3,000 medals from 33 sports.
