NPFL 2019/20 Season: Niger Tornadoes Drop 11 player, Retain 8
The 2018/19 Aiteo Cup finalist and Nigeria’s second representative in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, has disengaged 11 players and retained 8 ahead of the commencement of the 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football Season.
A press statement signed by the media officer of the Club, Alhassan Mohammed Kutigi said the decision to drop the players was reached by management and technical crew of the club on the need to bolster the team ahead of first leg CAF Confederation Cup fixture with Santoba FC of Conakry and also the 2019/20 Football season.
The players dropped include Olayinka yusuf, Gwaza Lorliam, Ayo Adetola, Moses Ugwu, Mubarak Sai’d, Mohammed Hussaini, Abashya Gyemini, Chizoba Ndukwe, Obinna jacob. Hassan Saba, Friday Kaburu
While retained players are comprises of Mustapha Aliko, Reuben Ogbonnaya, Dosso Saib, Bashir Azado, Ismaila Sarki, Ahmadu Liman, Mustapha Jibrin and Erick Frimpong.
Determined to move swiftly for the double challenges, the club also invited 20 players to camp. The invited players are Segun Alebiosu, Kwara United; Godwin Zaki, Rangers In’t; Chinonso Udeh, Ifeanyi Ubah; Ifeanyi Okoye, Kwara United; Christopher Lolo, Akwa United; Bamidele Ayodeji, HNK Rijeka Croatia; Kamara Aziz, Rangers In’t; Moses Ocheji, Remo Stars and
Abdullahi Musa wakili, Wikki Tourists.
