NPFL 2020/2021 Season: I Have A Lot Of Offers On The Table – Ilechukwu
By Amaechi Agbo
Heartland FC of Owerri coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has disclosed that he has a lot of job offers from different Nigeria Professional Football League clubs, ahead of the new season, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
Coach Ilechukwu who did not disclose the clubs that are seeking for his signature, however noted that he was not in a hurry to leave the Heartland FC yet.
“The most important thing about myself is when you are a leader, you need to choose the qualities of your leadership so that your followers will believe in you.
“I have a lot of jobs on the table, a very good jobs as well but the most important thing is, as a leader, leaving my players in this condition and moving to another club is not going to augur well with the players.
“There was a time the players wanted to go on a protest, I said no, you guys wouldn’t do that, we are going to stay together and make sure that we resolve all this.
“So me leaving the club at this time when players have not gotten their money, they will be saying, ‘Daddy see, right now, you have left and you told us not to do this.’
“So because of all these conditions I want to patiently wait and see what is going to happen. I never want to say anything about my future because I have not made any decision on leaving the club so fast without seeing what the future is going to be. So, that is it for now,” he concluded.
The 2020/2021 NPFL season is scheduled to commence in September or October.
