The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL Matchday 3 have been decided with two away wins recorded.

Rangers International FC of Enugu and Dakaada FC of Akwa Ibom were the greatest winners as they both recorded away wins against Jigawa Golden Stars and FC Ifeanyi Ubah, respectively.

Ajayi Femi with the opening goal on 77 minutes off an Israel Abia assist scored the lone goal of the match to give Rangers their first away win in the league.

Prior to this match, Rangers had lost their opening match 1-0 against Rivers United but won 1-0 against Abia Warriors in the Matchday 2 last weekend.

Dakaada FC also claimed three points on the road off FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday. Nnamdi Mejuobi’s 29 minute strike was enough to secure the maximum three points for the visitors in Anambra.

In Jos, Plateau United recorded one of the 3-0 scorelines against Heartland FC of Owerri.

Muhammadu Zulkifilu scored the opener in the 19th minute which was followed by Amos Gyang 55 minute penalty while Jesse Akila’s goal 5 minutes later handed the champions their first league win in the season.

The victory will come as a huge relief to coach Abdul Maikaba who had lost the league opener 2-0 against Kwara United and recorded a goalless draw in the Matchday 2 encounter with Wikki last weekend.

In Makurdi, Lobi Stars ran riot as they pummelled Warri Wolves 3-0 on Sunday.

Ossy Martin scored season’s fastest goal so far when he opened the goal account in the first minute of the encounter.

Although Warri Wolves remained solid to keep the scoreline 1-0 after the first half, the home side scored the second and third goals in the 64 and 90 minutes of the match off Mathias Samuel and Chinonso Okonkwo’s boots respectively.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United maintained their unbeaten run in the league after they recorded 3-0 win against visitors, Kwara United.

Ifeanyi Anaemena 32’, Godwin Aguda 33’, and Chika Godwin 90’ (PEN) were the scorers as the Pride of Rivers handed their guests a 3-0 bashing to lipfrog Nasarawa United on the log.

In other results, Katsina United defeated Adamawa United by 2-0.

MFM beat Sunshine Stars 1-0 in Agege while Enyimba pipped Wikki Tourists of Bauchi 1-0 in Aba

In the only draw recorded in the week, Nasarawa United came from behind to snatch a point from their visitors, Kano Pillars.

Nwagua Nyima scored the opening goal for the visitors but the host team rallied to equalise in the 82 minute after Adamu Hassan rescued the former league leaders from the jaws of home defeat.

In t get match played on Saturday, Akwa United defeated Abia Warriors to leave the Umahia-based club pointless this season.

Abia Warriors have lost their three matches against Enyimba (1-0), Rangers (1-0) and then Akwa United
