Plateau United GM Lauds Team On Abuja Unity Preseason Triumph

The General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Pius Henwan has congratulated the team for emerging Champions of the Abuja Unity Pre-season Football Tournament which was concluded last Sunday.
Henwan stated this at the Jos international stadium after the team resumed training following their triumph in the 12-team Pre-season Tournament held at the Nation’s capital
The General Manager who was elated with the feat, expressed optimism that the victory is a sign of better things to come in the Nigeria Professional Football League which kick off next week.
He commended the players and technical crew for a job well done stressing that the government and people are Plateau State as well as the club fans both at home and in the disapora are really happy with the victory.
Henwan who harped on discipline explained that nothing can be achieved in an indiscipline environment and urged them to be their brother’s keeper and always stand for each other irrespective of the situation.
” Victory has alot of followers while defeat is like an orphan which nobody wants to associate himself with. Therefore, am challenging you to go for the league title , so that we can play continental football next year.
While charging the players not to joke with their careers and remain focus in order to realise their objectives, the General Manager donated half of his October salary to the team as a reward for winning the trophy.
Technical Adviser of the team, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu appreciated the General Manager and management of the team for their unflinching support and assured that they will continue to strive hard to win more laurels for the team.
Ilechukwu appealed to management to look into the issue of players clearance and make a strong case for some fringe players who have done so well within the last two months.
High point of the event, was the presentation of the Abuja Unity Pre-season Tournament trophy to the General Manager.
