Prudent Energy Handball Premier League: Safety Shooters, Kano Pillars Maintain Unbeaten Run After Four matches

Safety Shooters of Abuja and defending champions Kano Pillars of Kano State on Thursday when both teams made it four wins out of four matches.

Safety Shooters defeated stubborn Confluence Stars of Kogi 31-27 in a thrilling encounter.

Champions Kano Pillars also defeated D-Defenders of Abuja 30-17 to retain their unblemish record in the league after four matches.

The victory preserves the Shooters four match winning streak in the league which got underway on Monday.

Goalkeeper, Baba Ali Saidu was the hero for the Shooters and he stopped seve-meter throws to preserve his teams victory.

In his post match reactions after the match, Safety Shooters coach, Innocent Nwankwo said the victory was fought for and remained upbeat on the mission of the club to win the league.

“It was a victory we fought for and we recognize that they made the game difficult for us but we had experience to win them.

“We remain hopeful and our target in the league remains same. Each win brings us closer to the realization of the goal of being champions,” he said.

Safety Shooters defeated Owena Kings 36-19 on matchday 1, they walked over Kada Stars in their second game and set aside Benue Buffaloes 30-24 on Thursday.

On their part, Kano Pillars won against Police Machine in the opening match 29-15, defeated Owena Kings 34-18 on matchday 2 and saw off Benue Buffaloes 37-24 in their matchday 3 on Thursday.
