PXEL Academy: Defining Grassroots Football Development With Aplomb

They are new. They are just eight months. They came into existence at a difficult time and period in human history.
At a time people where crying over lockdown, the founders were looking up, opening up and creating opportunities for young talented footballers to develop their careers.
Less than eight months after it’s establishment in Delta State, the PXEL Global Academy is taking Nigeria grassroots football by storm.
It is no wonder that last week, they played a Presseson Friendly match against a Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Heartland FC of Owerri, Imo state.
The match, which was part of the PXEL Global Academy building process, lived up to it bidding as the young lads shows no respect to the “senior brothers”in the field of play.
After the match, one of the owners of the PXEL Global Academy, Andi Andishu told our correspondent the mission behind the formation of the academy which spread across four states currently.
According to him “I started organising tournaments in Lagos where I picked some boys and hosted a tournament in Delta State where I also picked some boys as well as in Kaduna where i was born and brought up.
“So we have boys in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Plateau state; Delta Port Harcourt , River State and even in owerri”
It could be recalled that The Delta based academy started eight months ago, pricisely in March this year with over fifty players both in the mature and Amature division who were scouted and selected across the six geo-political zones.
The Academy, uniquely, is owned by two astute football administrators, messrs Andi Andishu and Peter Chukwudi Ugbaja
One unique attribute of this great academy is that players participation has been without any monetary involvement and their welfare are being taking proper care of by the founders and their associate across the globe.
The co-founder, Peter Chukwudi Ugbaja said his passion for sports right from his primary school days endeared him to build up interest in young talents, thus the PXEL Global Academy was born.
