Remo Stars FC Donate COVID-19 Palliatives To Supporters, Others

Nigeria National League, NNL side, Remo Stars FC have donated some food items and other materials to the club’s supporters and other vulnerable poor people in Ogun state as means of cushioning the impact of coronavirus also refereed to as COVID-19, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Ogun state as well as Lagos and FCT are among the states that have been on total lockdown for a month now and the management of the club and players saw the need to give back to the supporters and other poor individuals in the state to help them overcome the challenging situation cause by the ravaging COVID-19 virus.

In a release on Tuesday, the club noted that the gesture is part of the club’s corporate social responsibility to the community.

“Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) have made a sizable donation to help the supporters of the club and vulnerables during the current COVID-19 crisis.

“With many people facing uncertainty due to the coronavirus pandemic, the club through the generosity of the players and management have contributed to get the food items to help the supporters and the vulnerable within its community.

“The Club has always been committed to support the communities, the players and management have deemed it fit to support their supporters during these difficult times, the club said.

Remo Stars FC Captain, Saheed Lasisi says the country is in a difficult time, these have made the players and management of the club to deem it fit to partake in Cooperate Social Responsible (CSR) in assisting one another according to the holy books.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank the management and my teammates for making these possible because so many people are in need, and this is the best time to reciprocate all their supports through the years.”

“They have been our backbone whenever we play our matches both home and away, they have stood by us whenever we win and lose games.”

“Let me equally use this medium to advice our supporters to obey the rules, and regulations given by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, @MBuhari and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince @dabiodunMFR because those rules are in our best interest.”

“We should also abide by the guidelines of keeping social distance, using face masks whenever we go out, washing of hands regularly and using hand sanitizers.”

“Finally, we hope that the items meet you well, help carry on for the remaining period of the lockdown.” Saheed Lasisi.
