Former Nigeria National League boss, Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa “Oyinatumba” (The wirld cold that blows the community), the and executive board member of the Nigeria Football Federation, as well as chairman Enugu State Football Association, will be committed to mother earth on Friday 24th of July, 2020 in his country home, Obinagu Uno Akpugo, Nkanu West Local government Area of Enugu State.

Chidi Ofo Okenwa breathed his last on the 5th of May, 2020 after a brief illness at the age of 50.

A wake at his family compound in Obinagu Uno Akpugo on Thursday 23rd of July,2020 will precede his internment on Friday.

Also his remains will be taken to the Saint Stephens Methodist Church Ogonogoeji, Akpugo for special prayers before burial

It will be recalled that a service of songs was held in his honour on Tuesday 21st July,2020 at his Enugu residence, Akutu Crescent Independence Layout, by his Church ,the Methodist Community.

The event was attended by Football Stakeholders,government functionaries,his friends and family members.

Meanwhile , a strong presence delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation and the Nigeria National League ,is already on ground in Enugu, to bid him farewell and to pay their last respect to their deceased colleague.

Late Chidi Ofo Okenwa was described by many as an astute Football administrator with a difference and one with perfectionist principles by his associates and stake holders .
