On October 16, 2009 Ghana’s U-20 male national team, the Black Satellites, won the 17th edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup after defeating Brazil via penalty shootout to emerge world champions.

Ghana also made history by becoming the first African country to win the cardet championship which started in 1985.

However, 13 years after, it have emerged that Ghana sacrificed “7 mad people” to achieve the feat.

Speaking on television programme, Black Stars Classic posted on YouTube, Joseph Langabel revealed that he and others made sacrifices in order for Ghana U-20 to win the World Cup.

According to Langabel, who has served as a moral leader for the male national teams at all levels, “they were told they could only win if they sacrificed seven mad people.”

He stated that, despite the fact that it was a herculean task, the process was completed with the assistance of a man identified only as Zakoko, who speaks Arabic.

They discovered six insane men and a woman who helped them complete the sacrifice process.

“I warned them that the game against Brazil would be difficult because Ghana would receive two red cards.

“Ghana eventually won the match and the trophy after defeating Brazil on penalties in Egypt in 2009″- he added

Andre Morgan, Dede Ayew, and Agyemang Badu are among the players.

Ghana have come under global scrutiny with accusations of use of juju or voodoos by players in the senior men ntional team, the Black Stars. The accusations were rife when the four-time Africa champions crashed out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Cameroon at the group stage without winning a match.
