The Crisis rocking the ongoing 2020 National Sports Festival NSF is assuming another dimension as athletes Thursday morning engaged food vendors in a free-for-all-fight.

Bestchoicesports.com.ng gathered that fight broke at the University of Benin Games Village when athletes who have queued up for food were later told to go that food had finished.

The hungry athletes who could not understand the rational behind the shortage of food engaged the vendors in verbal argument which later degenerated into a free-for-all-fight with chairs and plates broken.

As the pandemonium was ongoing, it was gathered an athlete was heavily brutalized while recording the happenings.

However it took the intervention of the police at the UniBen Games Village to restore normalcy.

The 20th edition of the National Sports Festival holding in Benin, Edo State capital has witnessed series of confusion and disorganization as the State Government Wednesday gave the federal government 24 hours ultimatum to release fund for it or get the athletes and officials evicted from the Games Village.

It remains to be seen how the festival will end with so much crises including shortage of water, increase in fare as well as inflation of hotel prices hitting the Benin City since the festival got underway on 4th of this month would end.
