….We Have Clubs Better than Man U, Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid.

The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL has been described as a veritable league with aboundant players who are better than Bercelona icon, Lionel Messi and Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Former Senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Shehu Sani disclosed this on Sunday.

Senator Sani who represented the Kaduna North Central Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly between 2015 and 2019, encouraged Nigerians to go to the various match venues to watch domestic league players who ply their trade in the league.

Speaking ahead of the crunch match between Kano Pillars and Adamawa United in Kaduna this Sunday, in which Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa made his second debut for his former club, the former lawmaker stated that the NPFL has clubs that are better than European clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“Kano Pillars FC will play Adamawa FC at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna today.

“I call on you to patronize and watch the Nigerian Premier League.

“We have players better than Cristiano and Lionel Messi and Teams better than Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Barcelona and co,” he said on Twitter.

The former senator has been vocal in recent times calling on the management of the league to make it attractive to sustain the interest and passion Nigerians have for the round leather game.

On Sunday last week the former lawmaker was at the same Ahmadu Bello stadium where he watched the NPFL matchday 21 clash between Jigawa Golden Stats and Lobi Stars.
