20 times Moroccan champions and 2019 CAF Champions League finalist, Wydad Athletic club of Casablanca Morocco, has appointed Zoran Manojlovic has their new head coach, the club has confirmed on their official Twitter handle this Wednesday.

The 54 year old Serbian who has previously coached Angolan giants Primeiro de Agosto, was in the Moroccan capital this Wednesday during one of Wydaad’s training session, during which he met the players.

Manojlovic takes over from Tunisian, Faouzi Benzarti, who led Wydaad to their historic 20th Botola league title and the CAF Champions League final this year, despite the final ending in controversial circumstances and is expected to be replayed after the AFCON Ongoing in Egypt.

Zoran Manojlovic has a mastery of the game in the continent, as he led Primeiro de Agosto to the CAF Champions League semi_finals in 2018. President Said Naciri will expect Zoran Manojlovic to lead a title defense in the Botola league and also help in Wydaad’s CAF Champions league ambitions.
