Niger Tornadoes of Minna will this Sunday battle Shooting Stars of Ibadan in the final of the 2020/2021 Nigeria National League, NNL season, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The two Northern Conference and Southern Conference giants will slug it out to determine the winner of the season at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Both teams emerged winners of Group A and B at the ongoing NNL Super 8 play-off in Enugu and will battle against each other in the final deciding match slatedd for 10am today

In a release by the management of the NNL, Sunday, it noted that the there have been adjustment in the time of the final game of the group winners of the Super Eight playoff

The release by the Head of NNL Media Communication, Amar Ignis said the match fixed previously for 3pm will now be played at 10am in the morning.

“Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna and Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) will slug it out in the final game to determine the Champion of the 2020/2021 season.

“Niger Tornadoes emerged winners of the Northen conference after winning one game and drawing two to garner five points having scored more goals in all three games than runners up Gombe United who also have same five points.

“In the Southern Conference, 3SC won two games and had a one all draw against Remo Stars, to amass seven points and nine goals to emerge winners,” the release said

In another development, the final Southern conference game between Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance football clubs that failed to hold Saturday due to misgivings , will precede the final between Niger Tornadoes and 3SC.The tie has been rescheduled to hold at 8am.

All matches will hold at the Cathedral, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

The Minister of Youth and Sports development ,Mr. Sunday Dare who came into the coal City Saturday morning is still on ground and will sign off the NNL Super season ending tournament.

Mr. Dare was at the stadium to watch the last group game of the Northern conference between DMD and El-Kanemi Warriors ,both of Borno State.

El-kanemi won the game by three goals to nothing to finish on four points behind Niger Tornadoes and Gombe United.

So far, Niger Tornadoes, Gombe United and 3SC have all picked promotion tickets to the Nigeria top flight league, the Nigeria professional football league (NPFL).

The last ticket pick will be known after the final group game in the Southern conference involving Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance Sunday morning.
