Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions, Enyimba of Aba Monday morning parted ways with their coach, Usman Abdallah, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The news came as a shock to many outsiders who did not foresee the change in guard at the People’s Elephant.

Bestchoicesports.com.ng has exclusively gathered that coach Usman was forced to resign following poor performances, loss of faith in him by the management and Enyimba Supporters Club call for his sack.

The 4-0 bashing by league leaders, Plateau United on Sunday was the last hit that nailed Usman’s fate in the Enyimba dougout.

This paper further gathered that the result of matchday 12 in Jos acted as a springboard as the angry Enyimba management planned to hit the hammer on the Kano-born gaffer but he beat them to it and threw in the towel.

There are reports that the two parties parted ways in mutual consent but this paper gathered that Enyimba management had planned to sack coach Abdallah by noon Monday but he beat them to the plan.

How Abdallah lost it

Coach Usman Abdallah is a technically gifted gaffer no doubt but series of results in recent times which did not go in favour of the team created unwelcome atmosphere in the camp.

For instance, Enyimba Supporters Club lost faith in him and consistently booed or shouted for his sack.

The Supporters Club, it was understood, also called on the management of the club to do away with coach Abdallah despite his leading the team to their 8th NPFL glory last year.

Enyimba have not won a match in their last 5 games both in domestic and continental outings with a record 3 draws and 2 wins.
