The Barcelona striker who expressed delight over the award in Egypt at the 2019 CAF Awards thanked God, family, Friends, fans and her club for their support.
“4 times baby!!! Sometimes you forget to smell the roses along the way in life. I’m always the type thinking about my next move and never really stop and celebrate the things in between. This is such an amazing accomplishment and I’m happy. But there’s still work to do

Meanwhile, the minister of youth and sports development, Sunday dare has congratulated Oshoala on her feat adding that she represents the best in Nigeria’s female football.
“Congratulations to Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala, Barcelona star for winning the CAF Women footballer of the year award. She represents the best in Nigeria’s female soccer,” he said.
Similarly, former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has congratulated the four-time Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year and urged her to remain focused as more are yet to come.
“You are the best my super striker no doubt about that, more to come .congrats,” he said on twitter.
