Road Safety FC Battle Niger Tornadoes In Friendly Showdown Today

Nigeria National League, NNL sides, Road Safety FC of Abuja and Niger Tonardoes of Minna will size each other up in a heavy friendly match scheduled to hold in Abuja Thursday, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The match described by many as ‘not-just-a-friendly’ will hold at Area 3 Play Ground, Garki Abuja this Thursday, January 23 by 8am.
The match is going to be cynosures of attraction as it will be the first time the teams are meeting in recent years.
The friendly is part of tuneup matches both teams have been playing since the resumption of the 2019/2020 NNL season was suspended indefinitely.
In their last match on Sunday against Kada City, Niger Tornadoes defeated the Kaduna opponents 2-1 while Road Safety, lost their friendly against another NNL side, EFCC FC by alone goal on Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of the heavy clash, Road Safety coach, Akin Onigbinde described the match against Tornadoes as beffiting in view of the fact that the league has been in hiatus.
He called on their fans to come out en mass to enjoy good football.
“The friendly, just like the one we played against EFCC FC on Wednesday, is very crucial. It will be the 6th friendly or thereabout we are playing since the league was suspended on January 9th.
“A lot of people do not see the match as a friendly but it remains a friendly and I call on our suppers to come out and cheer the team. At any point, we will always need them. Even the one we played on Wednesday, the crowd was much and we encourage them to come out in numbers to watch us against the Minna Boys,” he said.
