FCT FA League: 10-Man WACO FA Humiliate Maracana As Abees Academy Beat Fire Service FC
It was rain of goals on the match-day 6 of the ongoing 2019/20 FCT FA League as two matches produced 11 goals.
WACO Boys on Monday humiliated Basic Maracana FC 6-1 in their second group B match at the Area 3 Sports Complex.
Monday Ideaya in the 5th minute open the flood gate of goals when he connected well with a pass and calmly slotted the ball beyond the reach of Maracana goalkeeper.
Yusuf Ibrahim got his first hat trick in the competition when he showed the world his unstoppable scoring prowess as he scored the three goal in the first half (21st, 33rd and 36th) minutes.
Meanwhile Henry Akin had scored a consolation goal for the weeping boys in the 16th minute. Basic Maracana who was walloped 7-0 by Abees Academy in their first group B match have conceded 14 goals in just two games.
Samuel .S. and Ikechukwu Benedict completed the rout to make the scoreline 6-1 in what looked like a one-sided match but was admired by the spectators who watched for free from the stand.
The second match which kicked off from 12 noon did not lack goals as 4 goals were registered by the by Abees Boys.
Amos Karami’s brace was enough for Abees Academy to maintain their 100% winning streak in the second round of the League.
Fire Service had defeated Abees Academy in the first group stage but failed to repeat the same performance when they face their familiar foe in the second round.
Amos’ early strike in the 3rd minute which was followed Ejike Phillip’s cool finish weakened a young talented side, Fire Service as they were down with 2-0 in the space of 14 minutes.
Uba Yunusa in the 57th minute reduced the tally to 2-1 before Amos Karami’s second goal in the 71st minute made sure Abees Academy ended the game with 2 goals up.
