FCT FA Partners Dreamland Football Academy, Hungary Embassy On Sports Development

In a bid to promote sports and ensure interchange of culture and improve education in the country, the FCT Football Association, Friday partnered Dreamland Football Academy, Abia State and Hungary Embassy in Nigeria to chart a new course for sports development in the FCT and beyond, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
In the meeting held at the Embassy of Hungary office in Maitama, Abuja, Friday, His Excellency, Dr. Sandor Beer – Ambassador, Erzerbeth Dios-Covacs – Deputy Ambassador, Anras Dios – Head of sports and cultural projects of the Embassy of Hungary in Nigeria, Chairman – FCT Football Association Mohammed Abba Mouktar
and the Founder/CEO – Dreamland Football Academy, Abia State Ndudi Emmanuel Edede cemented the partnership.
The meeting also looked at how to promote
various sports, cultural and educational development projects for the year 2020 and beyond.
Activities lined up for the year, include:
FCT Beach Soccer Tournament scheduled to commence from, February 14 – 16 2020
The event will be used to relunch teqball in Nigeria.Teqball will be displayed during the tournament for the public to practise with under the guidance of Teqball Ambassadors in Nigeria, Emmanuel Nwabueze and Thankgod Adindu.
The duo who are players from Dreamland Football Academy, won silver medals at the 1st African Beach Teqball Tournament in Sal, Cape verde in 2019.
Teqball will also be promoted and developed in Nigeria by rotating the teqball tables among secondary schools in Nigeria starting with FCT this month. Also there will a teqball competition among secondary schools in FCT during the upcoming 8th Dreamland Embassy of Hungary Cup
The 8th Dreamland Embassy of Hungary Cup is slated for May 22 – 30, 2020 the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja. The human capital capacity building project has been reviewed to accommodate more foreign clubs and participating teams inreased to 16 as it will henceforth hosted once a year. The will be use to promote sustainable development goals with emphasis on peace.
The 1st Hungarian Embassy Literary Prize/HELP competition to be held between the month of March to May, 2020. The maiden edition shall involved two states Abia and FCT subject for expansion to accommodate other state in the future as it is planed to be held twice a year.
Establishment of a football academy and sports medicine school in Abuja.
Plans to bring professional Europeans to organise seminars/courses for coaches, referees and journalists
And other technical exchange and scholarship programme in sports for the talented Nigerian youths.
