Crisis Rocks NFF As Staff Plan Protest Over $800,00 Outstanding Claims

Trouble is brewing at the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF secretariat over Eight Hundred thousand USD ($800,000) as payment for outstanding claims for the staff, management and Board members of the federation, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands
BSNsports reported the amount which was meant to cover the staff, management and Board members outstanding clalms only got to few management staff who are assumed to be loyal to the NFF Chieftains.
Some Board member are reported to have been paid about $15,000 as claims.
However, trouble started when there was an order stopping further payment thereby affecting staff and other few management staff yet to be paid.
The affected staff were reported to pose for a showdown with the Federation hierarchy.
In recent time, the federation have been reckless in spending. On April 1st, 2019 the federation in Lagos, hosted an award (NFF Awards) where 23 Association Presidents were invited, this event was said to have gulped over Five hundred million (N500m) naira.
Meanwhile, the federation is said to be appeasing the aggrieved staff to wait for the next trench of FIFA grant.
A reliable source from the Glass House who spoke on condition of anonymity to BSNsports correspondent said: “It is unfortunate that staff who have not received salary for months to cater for their needs are left out when the Federation got approval of Eight Hundred dollars ($800,000). The claims which supposed to be shared among the management, Board members, management staff did not get to some people and this has caused serious chaos among the federation.
“Some staff are planning on staging a protest to show their grievances,” the source said
