The Board, Federal Capital Territory, Football Association (FCT FA) has expressed grief over the death of the Kano Pillars Team Manager, Kabiru Baleria who died on Tuesday at the age of 57 after a brief illness.

In a condolence message sent by the association, the Board, while condoling with the Kano State Football Association and Kano Pillars Football Club described the deceased as diligent and hard working gentleman while praying that God almighty give his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Chairman, FCT FA, Alhaji Mohammed Moutar on behalf of the Board said: “We are sad when we heard the death of Kano Pillars Team Manager, Kabiru Baleria, he died when the team need him the most.

“We commiserate with his family, Kano Pillars and Kano State FA under leadership of Alhaji Inuwa Ahlan and pray that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Kabiru Baleria was a former White Eagle’s player, he also played for the Golden Stars, El kanemi Warriors of Borno, Canon Sportif of Cameroon, as well as  Kano Pillars.

The former Flying Eagles player also plied his trade in the Saudi Arabian League, went for trials in Spain with Deportivo La Coruna in 1989.

He was an Assistant Coach to the Nigeria Under 17 team under Coach Emmanuel Amuneke.

He also coached Kano Pillars where he later served as the substantive Team Manager of the team.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
