CAF, NFF Celebrate Samuel Chukwueze @21

The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF have all celebrated Super Eagles and Villarreal prodigy, Samuel Chukwueze who marked his 21st birthday Friday, May 22, Bestchoicesports.com.ng sports.

The two continental and national football governing bodies used their various twitter handles to celebrate the former 2015 U-17 FIFA World Cup winner.

Writing in its twitter, CAF noted that Chukwueze was excellent at his 2019 AFCON debut where he won bronze with the Super Eagles and was nominated among the three nominees for African Youth Player of the Year.

Samuel Chukwueze won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup with Golden Eaglets of Nigeria with coach Emmanuel Amunike

He was recognised by DFA as Most Influential player of the year 2016

After playing for Nigeria at under-17 level, Chukwueze received his first call-up to the senior team in October 2018.

He made his debut for the Super Eagles on 20 November, 2018 as a starter in a 0–0 friendly draw against
Uganda.

In May 2019, Chukwueze was invited to represent Nigeria’s senior team at the Africa Cup of Nations and the Under-20 team at the Under-20 World Cup in Poland.

However, his club side Villarreal said he could only play in one of the tournaments.

He was part of the Nigerian squad for Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Egypt.

He scored his first senior goal in Nigeria’s 2–1 win over South Africa in the quarter finals.

At 21, Chukwueze already has 13 Super Eagles appearances with two goals

He made history in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON, held in Egypt where he became the Youngest player to score at tournament.
