WAFU Cup: Bring The Trophy Home – Okparanozie Charges Falcons

Ahead of tomorrow’s Super Falcons clash against Burkina Faso in the WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup, captain of the side, Desire Oparanozie has charged the team to bring the trophy home, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
The EAG Feminine of France striker who is not part of the team wished the ladies best of luck as they begin their quest to conquer the West Africa region.
Writing on her Instagram, Oparanozie said “West African Football Union (WAFU) kicks off today, 8/May. Group A comprises of Cote d’ivoire (host), Togo, Senegal, Ghana. Group B have Nigeria, Burkina faso, Niger and Mali.
“We will be starting our campaign tomorrow against Burkina faso. Here is wishing the super Falcons all the best. Go ladies, counting on you to bring it home,” she said
The Super Falcons arrived Abidjan yesterday ahead of their opener Tuesday.
Hosts Cote d’Ivoire will launch this year’s competition against Togo at the Robert Champroux Stadium today while Senegal square up against Ghana on the second Group A match of the day.
In Group B, Nigeria will begin its campaign for glory against Burkina Faso at the Stade du Parc des Sports on May 9, while Niger will tackle Mali at the same venue on the same day
