The burial date of late Nigeria National League, NNL and Enugu State FA chairman, Chidi Ofo Okenwa earlier slated to hold on June 10, has been postponed, Bestchoicesports.com.ng reports.

Announcing the postponement Monday, the family noted that the earlier scheduled date has been cancelled adding that a new date of June 24 has been chosen for the burial.

The release signed by the family and the Burial Planning Committee regretted any inconvenience the change in date would cause friends and relatives.

“The family of Late Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa (Late Chairman of the NNL) wishes to announce that the proposed date of his burial has been cancelled.

“The new date is Friday July 24, 2020. This is due to the prevailing inter state restriction of movement and other circumstances beyond our control.

“Please bear with us as we regret all the inconveniences,” the release read
